Fortnite New Years 2020 Event – All Fortnite Event info

Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite New Years 2020 event.

Similar to 2019, there’s another Fortnite New Years event for 2020. It’s not a huge Fortnite event like the recent Star Wars event, or ‘The End’ Fortnite event to end Chapter 1, but it’s an event nonetheless.

Dataminers actually leaked part of the 2020 Fortnite New Year event a couple of weeks back, but they couldn’t get as much information as they would have liked. There isn’t much of a difference from this the 2019 new year event and the 2020 Fortnite new years event.

The event doesn’t have a set time, it happens every hour until it’s 2020, so you have every chance to watch the small event in-game. That means players don’t have to wait until it’s midnight to witness the new years event in-game.

The event started playing hours ago, and players were quick to post their clips on Reddit, Twitter and Instagram. Here’s what to expect from the event, but it’s not much.

Fortnite New Years 2020 Event

If you didn’t witness the 2019 new years event, or don’t remember what happened, here’s a recap of what it looked like:

When dataminers leaked the Fortnite 2020 new years event, they stated that by the looks of things, it doesn’t seem like anything changed from what was in the files for the 2019 event.

It’s the same event in terms of the disco ball that appears out of the sky, the same sequence of fireworks, the same countdown 10 seconds before the event begins every hour, and the same ending. Obviously, the only difference is that the event says 2020 at the end instead of 2019.

If for whatever reason you can’t login to Fortnite to witness the 2020 new years Fortnite event, you won’t be missing much, but here’s a clip of the entire event just in case you want to view it if you didn’t experience last years event.

Although there’s nothing special when it comes to the event, at least Epic provided a free new years 2020 Fortnite wrap as a free cosmetic from the presents in the Winterfest Lodge/Cabin.

Not only is there the 2020 wrap from the Winterfest present, players can also earn a 2020 Fortnite glider for free by completing the second to last Winterfest challenge. To earn the Fortnite 2020 glider, players will need to light a Frozen Firework found on beaches in Sweaty Sands, Craggy Cliffs, or Dirty Docks. Here’s a look at the glider:

The Fortnite Winterfest event will end on January 6th, so be sure to drop in and get your challenges done before then in order to get all the free cosmetics from the challenges and presents.

Fortnite Winterfest 2019 Day 14 Challenge & Reward Live Now

Here is the Winterfest challenge that has just been released for Day 14 of the event in Fortnite and the reward for completing it.

A new challenge is being released every day for the Winterfest Event and the challenge for Day 14 has just been revealed. Completing each challenge will award you with a new cosmetic and these cosmetics will be exclusive to this event.

Here are all of the challenges that have been released so far for this event:

Deal damage to opponents with a Snowball Launcher (200)
Stoke a Campfire (1)
Eliminations with an Unvaulted Weapon (5)
Hide inside a Sneaky Snowman in different matches (2)
Warm yourself by the fireplace in the Winterfest Cabin (1)

FORTNITE WINTERFEST DAY 14 CHALLENGE

In order to unlock the fourteenth challenge, you will need to search the Holiday Stocking in the Cabin, which is where you can also claim your free present. The Day 14 challenge is:

Visit The Workshop, Crackshot’s Cabin, and Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice (1)

You may need some help with this challenge as these locations are not marked on the map. We have created a guide to show you where each of these places are located to help you complete the challenge quickly, which you can see by clicking on the locations in the challenge above.

This challenge does require to visit all three places in order to complete the challenge and as soon as you have done so, you will unlock the Day 14 reward.

FORTNITE WINTERFEST DAY 14 REWARD

There is a different cosmetic that you will get for completing the challenge and completing today’s challenge will unlock is a Banner, which can be seen below:

There are now only two more challenges left to be released for this event, which will reward you with a Glider and Contrail upon completion. We will let you know as soon as these challenges go live in-game and what the rewards look like.

Here is the exact location you can find The Workshop in Fortnite Battle Royale in order to complete the Winterfest Challenges.

There are many challenges that have been released in Fortnite for the Winterfest Event and a new one is being released every day. One of the challenges that have been released for Day 14 is to Visit The Workshop, Crackshot’s Cabin and Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice.

This article will show you the exact location of The Workshop on the map to help you complete the challenge quickly and easily. We have also linked the other locations at the bottom of this article.

The Workshop in Fortnite

The Workshop is not a named POI on the map, but it is a landmark although ‘The Workshop’ is not in the title of the landmark. The name of the landmark you want to go to is Logjam Woodworks.

The Workshop Map Location

The Workshop can be found southwest of Slurpy Swamp, southeast of Holly Hedges. In order to complete this part of the challenge, all you will need to do is visit the location and you should see a notification on the side of the screen to let you know you have completed some of the challenge.

Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice Fortnite Location: Where to find and visit Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice

Want to know where Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice is located on the Fortnite Chapter 2 map? Look no further.

The challenge for day 14 of the Fortnite Winterfest event will go live soon along with the reward. Today’s challenge requires players to visit different landmarks that were added in the last major update in preparation for the Winterfest event that’ll end on January 6th.

The landmark locations you’ll need to visit for today’s Winterfest challenge are The Workshop, Crackshot’s Cabin, and Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice. We’ve covered the locations of the two other landmarks to visit which you can check out by clicking the landmark locations above, or check out the bottom of the article where we’ve linked to our other location guides for today’s challenge.

Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice Fortnite

Where is the location of Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice?

If you’re used to only having a couple of drop locations, you likely won’t know where Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice is on the map. It’s located at one of the named locations which appears to not have many players that land there as their favourite drop spot.

Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice is located on the furthest east side of the map, which means it’s located in Dirty Docks. Here’s what it looks like from the outside:

As you can see from the image, there’s a large sign which gives away the location of this new landmark. Here’s the exact location on the map:

As we’re writing this before the challenge unlocks, we’re not sure how close you need to be or whether you need to go inside in order to complete the challenge. If you’re yet to complete the other Winterfest challenge that requires you to search Ice Boxes, this is the best location for that.

In Mr. Polar’s Artisanal Ice, you’ll find at least five different Ice Boxes that you can search and get the challenge of searching ice boxes done within a minute.

Fortnite Crackshot’s Cabin Location: Where to find and visit Crackshot’s Cabin

Here’s the location of where you can find and visit Crackshot’s Cabin in Fortnite Chapter 2.

It’s day 14 of the Fortnite Winterfest Christmas event which means a brand new challenge and reward will be unlocked along with another weapon/item unvaulting and an old LTM returning.

The Winterfest challenges this year have been easy to complete, and there’s a few rewards that are better than last year’s rewards. Today’s new challenge requires players to visit different landmark locations that were added in the v11.30 update in preparation for the Winterfest event.

One of the locations players need to visit is Crackshot’s Cabin, and below you’ll find a quick guide on where you can find it on the map. Note: We’ve marked the other locations for today’s challenge at the bottom of the article.

Crackshot’s Cabin Fortnite

Where to find and visit Crackshot’s Cabin (location)

If you cast your mind back to last year, you’ll remember that Epic added in Crackshot’s Cabin to the chapter 1 map. It was added before the 14 days of Fortnite event took place, and one of the challenges required players to know the location of Crackshot’s Cabin.

In the v11.30 Fortnite patch update, Epic once again added Crackshot’s Cabin, but as it’s a new map and players have their set drop locations, it seems some players don’t know where the Cabin is located.

Crackshot’s Cabin in Fortnite Chapter 2 is the same as it was on the chapter 1 map, it looks the same on the inside and players will find that there is three chests by the Christmas tree in the corner. Here’s the the cabin looks like on the inside:

For those of you that don’t know where Crackshot’s Cabin is located, you’ll find it east of the middle island and south west of Frenzy Farm. Here’s the location marked on the chapter 2 map:

All you have to do is visit the location. Usually, it’ll trigger that you’ve completed the challenge once you’re close enough to the cabin. Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to head over to the other two Winterfest locations that are required to complete this challenge.

Hints Suggest Previously Leaked Polar Patroller Fortnite skin will be in today’s Item Shop

We could see the leaked Polar Patroller Fortnite skin in today’s item shop.

The last major update which Epic Games released was the v11.30 patch a few weeks ago. As with any major update, there were a number of Fortnite skins along with other cosmetics that were leaked.

We’re into day 13 of the Christmas Winterfest event, and we’ve seen several leaked skins make their way into the Fortnite Item Shop. Frosted Flurry, Kane, Dolph, and Shiver are just some of the v11.30 leaked skins that have been made available in the item shop during Winterfest.

We’ve also seen some skins that Epic added to the files in the v11.31 update make their way into the shop. These skins were encrypted by Epic meaning dataminers couldn’t leak them prior to them being released. The encrypted skins that have been released include the Flatfoot skin and the four skins with different skin styles in the Cozy Command set.

There’s still a number of leaked Fortnite skins that still need to be released, and we’ll likely be getting on of those in today’s Fortnite Item Shop.

Polar Patroller Fortnite Skin

Epic Games have dropped a couple of minor hints that we could see the Polar Patroller skin make its way into the shop today. Epic released one of their ‘Fortnite Shorts’ clips today on their social media platforms.

The video featured the leaked Polar Patroller skin along with the Frozen Fishsticks skin that’s available in the Polar Legends pack that was released on Monday last week. Here’s a look at the clip:

If you’re keeping up with the Winterfest challenges, you’ll know that today’s reward for completing today’s search Ice Boxes Fortnite challenge is the Polar Renegade Spray.

With the release of the Fortnite shorts clip featuring the Polar Patroller skin, and today’s Winterfest reward being the Polar Renegade spray, surely the skin will be in today’s Fortnite Item Shop.

The Polar Patroller skin is of Epic rarity, so it’ll cost you 1,500 V-Bucks to purchase. The description of the skin is “Don’t poke the bear”, and comes with the Ice Fisher back bling as seen below:

When Polar Patroller is released, you’ll also see the Fishicles dual-wielding pickaxe available as it’s part of the set:

There’s no surprise then that the short Fortnite clip showed the Polar Patroller skin fishing when two of the cosmetics in the set are fishing-themed.
