Here are all of the Fortnite challenges and rewards that are available for the 3rd Birthday in the game.
There have been two Birthday events in the past in Fortnite Battle Royale and these events have taken place on anniversary of Save the World, which was the first mode before the Battle Royale mode. For both of these occasions, Epic have released limited time challenges and exclusive rewards for completing them.
As the anniversary for Save the World is in July, this was when the Birthday event would usually take place and as this had passed, players thought there would not be an event this year. It appears as though the Birthday event has instead been changed to the anniversary of the Battle Royale mode instead.
Fortnite 3rd Birthday Challenges and Rewards
This year, there are a total of four challenges to complete, all of which you can see below:
- Play matches (10)
- Dance in front of different Birthday Cakes (10)
- Outlast Opponents (500)
- Gain health or shield from Birthday Cake (50)
The majority of these challenges are easy to complete, but we have created a guide on where all the Birthday Cakes are located in another article, so you will be able to complete this challenge quickly and easily.
Completing these challenges will grant you different cosmetic rewards, which can be seen below.
Fortnite Birthday Rewards
The Big Three Spray (Uncommon) – You will be granted this reward as soon as you have completed the first challenge which is to play 10 matches.
Cakey Wrap (Rare) – You will get the Cakey Wrap once you have danced in front of ten different cakes.
Cupcake 3 Emoji (Uncommon) – This emoji is awarded to players who have outlasted 500 opponents.
80,000 XP – Once you have gained 50 health or shield from Birthday Cakes, you will be awarded with 80,000 XP. This will help you to level up in this seasons Battle Pass quicker.
Once you have completed all four challenges, you will be awarded with the Cake Back Bling, which you can see below:

There is also a Take The Cake Emote that will be given to all players, which you can see below:
Take The Cake (Uncommon) – Enjoy the big blowout!
This event is only available until the 1st October, so make sure you complete these challenges as soon as possible to claim all the exclusive rewards.
